The Few and Cursed is a creator-owned comic book series about people trying to survive a wicked world where most of the water was gone overnight in a mysterious apocalyptic event in 1840.
The Redhead is a hardened survivor that was born in this reality and now fights to protect the innocent. As the land fell into darkness a group of men and women decided to take a stand and fight back, they are known as Curse Chasers.

HIDDEN AWAY PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT CALENDAR
As far as Hidden Away news all I can say is production is ongoing, a bit slower than I had anticipated because there is just so much going on but we're still on track for an October digital fulfillment and a physical one around the Holidays.
Writing this book has been a bit of a challenge since I'm tackling an ensemble cast of protagonists instead of a singular main character. Finding everyone's voices and making sure they don't sound exactly the same has been a tough nut to crack :)
As of right now these are dates we're looking at moving forward:
Mid to Late October: We go to print and digital fulfillment happens! \o/
November: Printing in China & transit time from China.
Early to Mid December: Fulfillment starts! This should take about two weeks so we're aiming for Christmas time to be completely done.
Of course I will keep updating all of you as production progresses or if there are any delays but I'm really hoping to keep to the dates above without any difficulties.
I truly appreciate the support and patience from every single backers, you are all the best! And don't forget to check out The Few and Cursed #10 on Kickstarter ;)

Here I am again with another monthly update on production of The Few and Cursed: Hidden Away. I honestly wish I had more to share with y'all but the truth is production is ongoing, we are still working on the book and making slow but steady progress.
At this time we're still on schedule to fulfill this in the Fall/Winter right in time for the holidays making it a true Christmas book :D
Uh-oh... things are getting serious for The Gusanos!
But other than sharing these sneak peeks of the script and new pages by Stan Yak there isn't much else to share, my friends.
I will take this opportunity though to remind all of you that my latest Kickstarter campaign is ending TONIGHT at 11:59pm est! So if ADAGIO sounds like your cup of tea make sure to hit the link to visit the project's page and put in your pledge.
We're past 900 backers and THIS CLOSE to hitting our last Stretch Goal of Phase 1... maybe your pledge will even help us unlock a couple of Stretch Goals from Phase 2, who knows!

I'm back again for the monthly update on The Few and Cursed: Hidden Away but a lot of you know already how I like to stay busy and stay producing creative content so allow me to introduce to you ADAGIO.
In the near future (closer every day) an app/social network called ADAGIO allows users to post their dreams online - either pre-recorded or in live streams watched by millions across the world.
It's the end of produced entertainment as we know it today. No more movies, no more TV shows, no more TikToks, no more streaming services, all people watch now are dreams 💤💤💤
The campaign launched on Tuesday and with massive support from new and returning backers we funded on day 1! And yes, we're already chasing some exciting Stretch Goals \o/
If you haven't visited our page yet, come check it out. I'm really proud of this book, it won an award in Brazil and sold out the first printing. It was a great success and it is finally time to publish it in English for international audiences.

Production continues on the book even though I hit a little bit of a snag in the script. My plan was to be completely done with the script by now but I wasn't too happy with the second half of Act II so I decided to go back to the drawing board and re-work it.
As always I strive for quality above anything else and this felt like a much needed use of good time. I did figure out the changes already and will work on them this month. With the script completed in May Stan Yak will be able to wrap up production in the Summer right on track for a Fall fulfillment :D
H.E.R.O.I.C. AWARDS
Super cool news to share! About two weeks ago the H.E.R.O.I.C. Awards took place in Chicago at C2E2 and Timberwolf Entertainment was up for four awards with five total nominations for both The Few and Cursed series and One-Eyed Jack.
I'm absolutely proud to announce that The Few and Cursed took home the award for BEST COMIC BOOK OF THE YEAR!!! \o/
How about that, huh?!
It is truly an honor and privilege to receive this award as it validates our work on the series and your support across multiple campaigns and titles of the TFAC universe. We would never have gotten this award without your pledges so we share this with you.
Thank you all so much for being an integral part of The Few and Cursed! I sincerely hope we get nominated again next year with Hidden Away, you all did your part already, it's my turn and our crew's :D

But before I get into something really cool regarding color in comics, allow me to remind all of you that my latest Kickstarter campaigns ends NEXT WEEK ON TUESDAY!
In my last Update I talked about a return to filmmaking and a short-film project titled INKS. A much needed project I'm passionate about because it represents a new phase in my career, it's a first step towards adapting The Few and Cursed to the silver screen.

Lisandra Cortez is an incredible actress and I couldn't be more excited about having her join me in this film. I have no doubt she will deliver an incredible and powerful performance, this film is crewed already, cast is on its way, we just need funding now.
Every single dollar helps and it will all go into production. I'm ready to shoot this in the Summer and get this in the can before moving on to writing a feature-lenght script for The Few and Cursed, get it in the best shape possible to take Hollywood by storm.

HIDDEN AWAY UPDATES!
Moving on to Hidden Away news! I'm about halfway through the script and I'm loving every page. It's always so curious when characters take over a story and they kind of guide the writer, not the other way around.
Sure, I plan the plot very early on and that serves as a roadmap but character interactions, relationships, etc continue to evolve and change as the characters grow.
Especially when they find their own voice, it's an incredible and rewarding experience!
Moving on to colors... we've been trying different settings and palettes and I thought it'd be super interesting to share a little bit of the process before getting to the finished look.
This scene in the script always took place during twilight hours or sunset (you can tell from the man lighting up the lamp post) but that could mean a variety of colors.
I honestly love both versions and it's been hard deciding which one to go with... do you have an opinion?

We figured as the Sun sets the color scheme changes drastically so while the previous page had similar versions this one turned out quite different.

Alright my gorgeous backers, we made it, we crossed the finish line! And we did it with flair \o/

I really appreciate every single pledge that came in and I do not take your support lightly, you can bet the whole team will work tirelessly to deliver an amazing graphic novel.
We did manage to unlock one more Stretch Goal before we ran out of time and it's a real fun one. I can't wait to come up with fun and catchy lines for a professional VO actor to deliver them straight to you all.
Virgil Earp plays a big role in the story and I cannot wait for you all to meet my version of this historic figure.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR HIDDEN AWAY?
First a little bit of business. Please note your credit cards have been charged already and if they haven't they will be in the next few days. If there are any problems Kickstarter will automatically ask for backers to fix the issue and try again for about a week or so.
If you have any questions regarding payment please reach out directly to Kickstarter. There isn't much I can do other than check on errored payments and send a message to you to try and help mediate any assistance needed with Kickstarter.
Make sure your payment methods are up to date to avoid dropped pledges.
If by any chance your pledge gets dropped and you still have an interest in your rewards, do not fret, you still counts as a backer when I send out the Pledge Manager surveys via BackerKit and you will have yet another chance to correct your payment method and confirm the pledge.
PRODUCTION IS AT APPROX. 25% RIGHT NOW
It all starts here with a very simple and rough layout...
We have started working on Hidden Away a few weeks before launching the campaign and we haven't stopped.
Production is ongoing and I will keep you all updated as things move along including artists announcements, sneak peeks at layouts, inked pages and colors, the whole process, you all get to tag along.
The script is about halfway through and Stan has delivered the first 20 or so pages already. We plan to finish ten more by April and hopefully complete the artwork by June.
Fabi Marques and I have also been discussing the colors of the book and we finally arrived at an amazing place. I've shared the first three pages and I hope you enjoyed how they look.
In the next six to eight weeks I hope to have finished casting all the artists for the various items unlocked via Stretch Goals and as soon as they start turning in layouts and finished pieces you will also be the first ones to see.

WHEN WILL THE FEW AND CURSED BE BACK ON KICKSTARTER?
We're gonna go on a bit of a hiatus since we have both The Few and Cursed #9 and Hidden Away in production. Our next campaign in the TFAC universe will be the issue #10 some time in the Summer.

However... I will be back on Kickstarter with something completely new a lot sooner than you think - a lot! I'm launching in the next week or two a campaign to fund a SHORT FILM titled TATTOOS.
