What a weight lifted off my shoulders, folks... Stan Yak has just delivered the final pages of Hidden Away. I will take some time to go over everything, offer feedback, share some notes, but ultimately he's done \o/
It's always joyful to complete a project - especially one that's been delayed so many times and it's been in the works for two years almost. We finally got here though and I'm stoked with the result, you will all have a blast with it!
Before I share previews and other info I'd love to bring to your attention the latest Few and Cursed campaign on Kickstarter - The "Wanted" Set of Cards 🎯
We launched on Tuesday and have already unlocked four Stretch Goals with our fifth less than $100 away. It's a different campaign than my usual as this one is a collector's card dream come true. I'd really appreciate it if all of you would come check out - there's gorgeous artwork to see, amazing new products and much more!
Hidden Away in Color!
Not only has Stan finished up all pages in black and white, I've also been working diligently with Fabi Marques to get the book completed in full color. She still has a few weeks ahead of her but she's working on it and it looks great.
Fabi is a Marvel Comics colorist so it's not easy for her to fit Hidden Away in her schedule, at the same time though, we have a world-class talent working on the book and I think that trade off is more than welcome.
Even though she had colored the first three or four pages at the time of our campaign launch, she decided to go back and re-do them from scratch so it is current with her skill as a colorist today.

PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT CALENDAR
I think we're finally getting to a point where adjustments our calendar will happen less and less. I was really hoping to have the book completely done in full color by the end of this month but Fabi hasn't been able to produce new pages as often as I'd like.
I've been prioritizing quality over time all my life and I don't wanna change now, I really want Fabi's best work so if she needs some extra time, I think it will be worth it. Here are our dates moving forward:
September: Artwork completed by end of August!
Early October: BackerKit Surveys sent to all backers
Mid to Late October: We go to print and digital fulfillment happens.
Mid-November: Printing in China concludes, transit time to our hubs in the US & UK
Early December: Fulfillment completed!
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding as I tackle multiple projects and campaigns altogether. I do try to learn from my own mistakes and/or planning so hopefully backers across multiple campaigns will have noticed the latest ones have been fulfilled on time or with barely any delays.
I'm constantly striving to do better and it means a lot to me you have shown kindness towards my process.

Hey everyone,
Happy to announce that Stan has started working on the last 20+ pages of the book, it's finally happening, we're wrapping up production in about four to five weeks!
Honestly as production is ongoing there isn't much to update you all on other than "we are actively working on the book". Layouts for the entire book have been finalized after a series of narrative adjustments and now we're on Stan's world.
He will be delivering about 4 to 5 pages per week :D
Rough layouts to help us shape the storytelling!
PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT CALENDAR
I'm happy to relay the same estimated dates as from last month as we managed to keep production as planned. A lot can happen even as we head towards the end of production - especially as we go to print in China and then transit times to our hubs in the US and UK.
I'm super happy we're finally getting this book done and published, I never hid the fact it's a special one and I can't wait for you all to experience this adventure. Here are our dates again:
July/August: Artwork completed by end of August!
Mid to Late August: BackerKit Surveys sent to all backers
End of September: The book is done! We go to print and digital fulfillment happens.
October: Printing in China concludes, transit time to our hubs in the US & UK
Early November: Fulfillment completed!
As Stan has another month of work ahead of him I won't share another update until we complete production - hopefully in about 30 to 45 days max. Of course if anything changes though you'll be first in line to know.

Howdy folks!
Stan continues to work on the book and producing about 10-15 new pages per month, we finally got into a groove and it's going super well! It's nice to see this project back on track after my creative slump :D
Production is nearly at 2/3 done, I'd say we're sitting at 70%ish completed pages with the next batch already in the works after Stan and I hammered out the layouts.
I'm absolutely over the moon at the craftsmanship Stan has been showing in the new pages. Not only he's a truly gifted artist but also a very creative one adding details to panels and scenes I never thought about.
In other news, Fabi Marques has already started working on the flats of the pages and will start delivering fully colored pages this month of July. For those curious, flats are base colors meant to separate the different elements in a page so it is easier to apply the actual coloring afterwards.
PRODUCTION & FULFILLMENT CALENDAR
I think it's important to continue sharing our dates with y'all so we are on the same page when it comes to fulfillment.
Now that we got into a rhythm and progress has been constant, it makes my job easier to laser on our dates. What you'll see below is the most accurate planning I could finally arrive at.
July/August: Artwork completed by end of August!

I don't think the above dates will change unless something surprising happens along the way but again we're finally getting pages done in a constant pace so the above dates reflect that.
I will continue sharing Updates on a monthly basis so you can expect another Update on July 30th or August 1st at the latest.

June Update! New production dates, pages & last few days for Ink & Shadow on Kickstarter!

Before I get into Hidden Away news and share new previews, I'd love to bring your attention to the latest book in The Few and Cursed universe - a very special Artist Edition featuring the original series, Crows of Mana'Olana, in pristine black and white preserving Fabiano's original inks!
This hardcover special edition will only have as many units sold on Kickstarter printed and once the campaign is over this Thursday at 11:59pm est, it's done for, you'll have to find it in the secondary market. Outside whatever is left after fulfillment is completed, I won't make this available in future campaigns or comic cons.
The idea is to really offer a VERY unique collector's item.
Now, I understand many of you have pledged towards other books of the series alongside Hidden Away and those have been held up because of our delay in production. That sucks, I know but I can only start fulfillment through BackerKit, whether digitally or physically, when the surveys are sent out and completed.
And I can't do that so far ahead of actually shipping the rewards. With that being said, if you are a backer with previous titles and would like to check them out right away please DM me or shoot me an email to [email protected] and I will try to at least share digital files outside BackerKit.
HIDDEN AWAY NEWS & UPDATES
Production continues, there isn't much else to share at this time other than Stan has been working on the pages and even though we haven't progressed as we wanted, we are actively working on it every day.
I had a nice conversation with Stan about when to realistically expect to have Hidden Away completed over the past couple of days and I'm confident the dates below won't suffer any more delays until we go to print and the manufacturer gives us their production time.
As announced before the book will be much bigger than anticipated with over 80 pages of story alone. While we're over the hump it is still pretty demanding to have Stan deliver more than 20 pages per month without sacrificing quality and details.
Please bear with us just a little while longer and I guarantee you guys will get an amazing book when this ships out :)

Hello gang!
Felipe here again with another status update on Hidden Away. We're back on track and producing new art pretty regularly even though we are a little bit behind as per the calendar I shared last month - which might've been a bit too ambitious.
Stan has been working on new pages and we're now coming up to 50% of the whole book completed. We really wanted to be further along by now but we're also having a lot of back and forth to make sure we get the artwork just right.
I'm loving his work and I can't wait for you all to experience it as well!

I really wanted to have the art completed by the end of this month but I'm afraid that won't be possible seeing how we've progressed these past couple of months.
The dates below have been adjusted to accommodate our current rhythm but I can't be too sorry about it since the art has been stellar and we've been having constant progress.
Yes, the book is late but is coming along beautifully and I have no doubt it will be one to hold dear in the collection :)
